Bennington Welcome Center

 Gateway to Vermont’s Southwest Corner – “The Shires of Vermont”

Stunning views including that of the iconic Bennington Battle Monument to the south and spectacular sunsets to the west greet travelers arriving at Vermont’s newest state welcome center in historic Bennington.

A staff of friendly and knowledgeable Vermonters assists with reservations, travel information, and directions.  The modern design of the center with its post and beam construction and abundance of windows confirms that the visitor has arrived in The Green Mountain State.

Displays in the center reveal a wide range of Vermont made products, as well as recreational, cultural, agricultural and natural attractions available in every region of the state.

The center is located at the junction of Routes 7 and 279, near both the New York and Massachusetts borders. It is also easily accessed from Rte. 9 east and west.

Buses welcome.  Clean facilities and local/regional/state information. Open 7 am to 9 pm daily.
