The Vermont General Assembly welcomes your tour group and invites them to view one of our nation’s oldest and best-preserved state capitols.

After 150 years, the Vermont State House still commands the landscape of Montpelier, the smallest capital city in America. As your group tours the halls and chambers, they will develop a sense of what makes this historic building, and the state for which it was built, so unique.

In addition to guided tours, visitors can self-guide with an audio tour accessible by cell phone. Under the Dome Gifts, a gift shop featuring Vermont crafts and products, is open from mid-June through October.
