The Green Mountain Railroad is proud to introduce our new dinner train departing from Burlington from May through October on the weekends.

Enjoy a three-course gourmet dinner on a three-hour journey from Burlington to Middlebury in one of our historic dining cars with a guidebook to help you along the way.

Special excursions from Burlington include Mother’s Day Brunch, Father’s Day Rail & Sail and our Independence Day Fireworks train. Scenic Fall Foliage excursions from Chester run through September and October.

Charters:

Vermont Rail System passenger trains are available year-round for charters and special events. Reserve a coach on one of our scheduled trains or rent the entire train on the day of your choosing. Our trains are perfect for special occasions such as tour groups, birthday parties, weddings, holiday events, school trips or company functions.
